Focal Point: A near rectangular long pendant in silver with coiled wire work from the Malabar region of Kerala.
Name Inspiration: The necklace is named after the legendary warrior “Unniyarcha” or “Unniarcha” who belonged to the Thiyyar Chekavar family of Kadathanad in North Kerala. She was known for her valour and skills in the martial art form of Kalaripayattu and finds mention in Kerala folklore and the popular “Vadakkan Paattukal” which are the old ballads of North Malabar.
Item Description: Featuring a beautifully detailed and uniquely shaped pendant, this two layer necklace is made using polished red corals from India and accentuated with Sterling Silver (92.5% purity) bead charms and finished with a pretty fan-shaped hook and eye clasp. The pendant has coiled wire work which reminds one of the filigree style and has been finished with handmade, tiny lapis lazuli and Thai Karen silver dangles.
Length: 33.5 inches approx. (when measured around the neck from nape to tip of the necklace).
